SAL+ supports a range of interdisciplinary research and public engagement projects across HASS and STEM disciplines including the humanities, creative arts, architecture, design, engineering, information technology, science and education.

BIOSYNTHETIC SYSTEMS

Critical engagements with engineered life including biofabrication, synthetic biology, and AI.

GENETIC LEGACIES

A speculative examination of options for genetic dispersal and procreation via non-human offspring.

ANCESTRAL ARCHIVE

An investigation of the potential of digital and bio- technologies to preserve biological information, physical and personality traits.

OPEN CALL

SAL+ is open to cross institutional research partnerships and projects that connect to UTAS and SAL+ research strengths and theme areas.
